I See Skies Of Blue…

Just over five years ago – before I had even moved to this domain – I released my very first PSA post saying that I had started a Twitter. Now, half a decade later this post is announcing that I am moving away from that account.

As many of my readers will no doubt already be aware, Twitter in general (yes, I refuse to call it X) has been on a downward trajectory for the past couple of years, and many creators in the TG erotica sphere have already left the platform behind. A significant number of those creators have moved on to Bluesky, and this is a path I am now following. From now on I will no longer be posting new updates or image captions (if I ever actually find the time to write any more of the latter) to Twitter, instead all such content will be posted on my new Bluesky account, which you can find here.

I’ll be honest, it feels very strange to be writing this post at all. It feels like the end of an era, and I find myself unexpectedly emotional at the thought of moving on. When I started my Twitter account it really felt like the place I would remain until such time as I chose to retire from this writing community. What initially began as a place to post briefly about new stories quickly developed into a space where I could experiment with new forms of content – primarily story threads and image captions – the latter of which ultimately led to me putting together a second blog to house all of them in the same place (here’s a shameless plug to visit my Gallery of Lust if you haven’t already).

However, if you’re on the internet (which obviously you are) you will already know that Twitter is not at all what it once was. While I have never experienced any particular issues with the platform itself nor had any negative reactions there that I can recall, the exodus of creators has left my feed pretty barren and ultimately the platform no longer feels like the community it once did. Moving to a new platform is not a decision I made lightly, and I have been contemplating it for some time, but in the end I feel that it is the best place for me to be.

For those of you who still use Twitter, I hope you can accept my decision to move. I may pop in from time to time – at the end of the day there are still creators whose work I enjoy who have not made the shift, and I do not want to stop supporting them. However in those cases I would only be liking content and maybe reblogging some occasionally, not uploading any of my own.

I recognise that to many of my readers this will make no difference whatsoever, but as I have stated before I always do my best to be transparent with my audience, which of course includes explaining the choices I am making and why I am making them.

Overall, to those of you who have followed me on Twitter I want to say that I am incredibly grateful for all your support over the past five years. I sincerely hope you will consider continuing that support on my new account. Either way, it has been a pleasure providing you with shortform smut and I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it just as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it.

Until next time.

F&F x
